To understand my connection to Nike, you first have to understand where I come from. I was born outside the United States in a country where the Nike Brand was viewed as a luxury only the rich can afford. As a basketball player, that meant I usually bought cheap shoes from generic brands that usually ended up hurting my foot more than it protected my foot.

On my 17th birthday, my life changed forever when my mother bought me a pair of Nike Zoom KD III's as a birthday gift.  Everything about the shoe was amazing.  The fit, the traction, the support and the ventilation was spoton. It is as though I've seen HD for the first time after watching VHS all my life. Needless to say, I've never worn any other brands of basketball shoes.

These are all the Nike basketball shoes I own right now. Like I said, I'm a huge fan. Even though Adidas has come out with some pretty nifty technology that could potentially rival Nike i.e Adidas's Crazy Light series , I've always picked Nike because Nike has always been reliable. I know what I'm getting when I buy a pair of Nike basketball shoes. Style, performance, and comfort. It's a given. It is this feeling of security that inspires my loyalty in the Nike brand. Plus, their wacky assortment of highly entertaining commercials and advertisements only solidify their image as a trendy brand that caters to a younger crowd.
